AML
The framework of controls a regulated business must operate to detect and prevent money laundering and terrorist financing.
A programme is not a policy document. It is a risk assessment, customer due diligence proportionate to that risk, ongoing monitoring, sanctions screening, suspicious activity reporting and a named officer with real authority.
For digital-asset businesses, monitoring combines blockchain analytics with conventional transaction monitoring, and the two produce different kinds of alert — which is a design problem, not a procurement one.
