Reconciliation
Agreeing on-chain and venue activity to the accounting records, transaction by transaction.
On-chain transactions arrive with almost no context: an address, a hash, an amount. There is no counterparty name, no reference and no invoice number, and address reuse means the same address may represent several economic relationships.
Doing this at volume requires a subledger that attributes addresses, classifies transaction types, handles gas and network fees, filters spam tokens, and produces an audit trail. Spreadsheets stop working earlier than most teams expect.
